I have been active in the show cattle industry for over ten years. I have raised, shown, and sold numerous champions at all levels. I Attended Ohio State ATI and majored in Animal Science with an emphasis in Beef and Sheep production. I am judging several county fairs throughout Ohio for the 2010 county fair season, and have put together and taught several showmanship clinics. I am very consistent in terms of what kind of cattle I like. I am a firm beleiver in attractive, sound, capacious, females that will go out to the pasture and push out a calf every year without any assistance. I want my steers to be functional market animals that will go to the rail and hang the most desirable carcass, yet display enough soundness and eye appeal to be labeled a "show steer". I believe that showmanship should be an enjoyable experience for every exhibitor in the ring, not just the one who walks away with the prize. Exhibitors should walk out of the ring learning at least one thing that they can improve on, and what set the winner apart from the others.
